Today’s topic is how to lose belly fat by doing belly dancing and this is a really important topic to me because I’m also a personal trainer and a lot of people come to me because they want to lose their belly fat and I totally understand that but the thing is it’s really important to understand is that you can’t target where you lose fat in your body. If you have belly fat it’s because your body composition, your overall composition is that you have an excess of fat in your body. So the best way to change that is to change your diet to eat healthier, eat more whole foods and to overall just clean up your diet. A lot of magazines, a lot of fitness magazines that you see out there, put out this myth that if you just do a certain type of exercise, you’re going to lose belly fat and it’s simply not true. So I really want to make it clear that that is a myth and the best way to lose belly fat is to eat healthier. But with that being said, belly dance is an excellent way to strengthen your core muscles so that when you do lose overall body fat, you’re going to see that definition but the most important thing to me is to be healthy and to love your body as it is today.
